Apparently there is some confusion. Although The United States of America is The Land Of The Free And The Home Of The Brave, not everything is in fact free. We are happy to give a hand up but a hand out should not be expected.
There are those in our society that will never be able to fend for themselves through no fault of their own. As a civilized society we must take care of those in such need. However when public assistance becomes the family business it helps no one.
Our education system is broken. Money is not the problem. US taxpayers pour good money after bad into an institution that is failing this Nation. We must try something different. We must make America the land of opportunity for all of her citizens.
Homeless Americans live on our streets. Many of whom are veterans. Along with children and the elderly they have been forgotten. Meanwhile Congress anguish over what to do about dreamers entitled to nothing and demanding it all while burning our flag and shooting the bird at this country. Time for Congress to get their priorities straight.
Every special interest groups feels entitled to top billing. When it doesn’t happen tantrums erupt and chaos pursues. In the end they still don’t get their own way. Welcome to the real world. Everything is not about you.
If you want something work to achieve it. No one is going to hand it to you on a platter. Stop belly aching and find something positive to do. Take pride in what you do. Work hard at what you do. Do the best possible job you are able. Be kind to others. Give someone a helping hand. Talk is cheap. That is why actions speak louder than words.
Contrary to what folks like Apple would have us believe. You don’t need a thousand dollar phone to complete you. Unless you are independently wealthy there are most likely better things to spend your money on. But, if you are so inclined to purchase one. Don’t be so foolish as to take pictures with it while demanding that the United States provide you with all.
It is time for Americans to realize we are not entitled to free stuff. There is no such thing. Money doesn’t grow on trees. People don’t mind paying their fair share. But, when it comes to taxes there is just so much of a burden taxpayers can bear. The middle class is past its limits. Now living paycheck to paycheck, unable to educate their children, the middle class is in desperate need of tax cuts to sustain them.
To those in Congress biting off their noses to spite their constituents faces it is time to shape up or ship out. Days of taking over half the year off while being paid full-time wages must end. Healthcare plans good enough for constituents are good enough for Congress. No more special plans for the “special” folks in Congress.
Time for Congress to be kept honest with term limits. It is time for voters to hold their Congress Members accountable. If they are not part of the solution vote them out and find someone who is. Don’t vote for the Party. Vote for the person.
